This huge remodeling
project turned a two thousand square foot farmhouse into a completely
updated, 4,000 square foot home. One of the constraints was a new 55’
setback requirement. The original porch was grandfathered in, but once
it was removed, the setback requirements came into play. The solution
was to create two octagonal porches on either side of the door and
connect them with a 4’ covered walkway that was 6" shy of the setback.
The front courtyard has a 9’ diameter fountain that complements an 18’
diameter fountain located in the middle of the driveway. And they also
have a 600 square foot chipping and putting green.
