For the past three years,
the Macon Housing Authority has been honored for their work in
renovating vacant inner city properties, and making them available to
low income first time buyers. This 80 year old property, that was once a
vacant eyesore, is the seventh house in a two block area that the Macon
Housing Authority has renovated through it’s HOPE-3 first-time home
ownership program. Each of these houses is now the residence of a
low-income family that has made an investment in the neighborhood.
