This home was struck by
lightning that ran in the phone line to an office computer. The ensuing
fire heavily damaged the office and upper floor of the home. Another
restoration company began work and failed to properly cover the roof.
Heavy rains collapsed their tarp and when Poole’s Reconstruction was
finally called they had to deal with significant water damage caused by
the failed tarp. Since the residence was now more than 51% damaged, the
entire residence had to be updated to meet current building code
standards. Insurance requirements dictated that the entire repair had to
be done in less than six months. Even with numerous changes during
construction, the project was completed 4 weeks ahead of schedule and
right on bid. This outdated and heavily damaged home was reconstructed
into an updated European style home.
