Solving the challenge of
putting larger things in the same space.
Putting larger things in the same space is a frequent challenge for
remodelers. In this case, the client wanted an open feel to their new
bath. They also wanted a large Jacuzzi tub, larger shower, private
toilet area, larger vanity and, of course, extensive storage. The
challenge was that they didn’t want to reduce the size of the rooms
adjacent to the existing master bath. By redesigning the laundry room,
master closet, and master bath, the folks at Renewed by Design were able
to recover a foot here and a foot there to accommodate all the client’s
goals.
The open feeling was created by the use of a glass block half wall for
the toilet area, and angled shower walls, the use of light colors, and
the addition of a leaded glass window, added to the feeling of space.
