National Award Winner
This
addition solves several major problems. Number one, it expands and
updates the kitchen to accommodate their storage needs with contemporary
design, brightness of colors and much needed breakfast seating area.
Second, it offers a family gathering area. The new addition has brick
fascia to match the large window in the kitchen area and two French
doors leading onto the new deck. The cathedral ceiling adds more space
and light and a large opening on the west wall of the old dining room
provides maximum daylight. The new gas fireplace with a stone phase adds
a contemporary touch to this new addition. The most prized possession of
this kitchen is the large island with distress black cherry cabinetry
covered with a mahogany countertop. Now this family gets to enjoy their
