In their 1922 home, the homeowners
transformed the attic into a modern movie theater while preserving its
historic charm. The original rough-sawn floor, the distinctive angled
chimney, and a signed log from past residents were meticulously
maintained. To facilitate access to the third-floor space, materials
were hoisted using a pulley system and boom truck through a removed
attic window. Custom insulated doors hide efficient storage solutions,
while strategically placed windows, aligned with existing gables, bathe
the space in natural light. This renovation elegantly merges historical
character with modern functionality, creating a unique and inviting
retreat for unforgettable movie nights.
