Since the client's last
remodel in 1987, these empty nesters now have 21 grandchildren and the
kitchen just isn't large enough anymore. Expanding the kitchen and
including a large cooking area, installing large window openings in the
eating area and creating a cathedral ceiling in the main cooking and
eating area accomplished the homeowner's objectives. A new skylight was
installed over the desk and pantry areas to illuminate their treasured
stained glass. The new kitchen certainly has enough room for their large
family to join in the fun of cooking and entertaining.
