The scope of the work
consisted of a new 21’ X 23’ addition that included a new kitchen,
master bathroom/dressing area, and a full basement for utilities and
storage. The design goal was to create a new structure, with modern
amenities that would complement the architecture of an antique cape
style house. The goal was achieved by adding a half cape addition that
mirrored the scale and design of the original structure. As a result,
the clients have the best of both worlds: an antique home with the
modern conveniences of contemporary construction.
