The owners wanted a
bathroom with a soaking tub and gracious shower with a seat. By removing
a partition wall, relocating the window and moving all fixtures, the
bathroom they had envisioned became a reality. The simple vanity unit
became a focal point by allowing the back splash to extend to the
ceiling and topping it off with a large crown molding. A recessed niche
above the tub reinforces the arch in the medicine cabinet above the
sink. A decorative tile detail on the floor adds visual interest while
unifying all fixtures in the room. Recessing a tall cabinet into the
wall provides storage without taking up floor space in the bathroom.
