The homeowners fell in love
with this hilltop home for the views, but they wanted to incorporate
		their own
Mid-Century Modern aesthetics into the contemporary 3,000-square-foot
residence. The goal was to create a calm, relaxing environment with a
seamless link from the interior to the exterior.
		One of the main inspirations
for the home was the Aman Kyoto hotel in Japan. The homeowners wanted a
minimalist approach and favored elements from nature such as wood, clay,
stone, and natural materials with an earth-toned palette.
		The whole home remodel
included upgrading the interiors and exteriors of the home, adding a
rooftop deck, and converting a 756-square-foot game room above the
garage to a freestanding primary suite with a bedroom, bath, and sitting
		area.
