Slated
for demolition and redevelopment, this 1957 split-level was instead
purchased as-is by new owners who envisioned its potential as a modern
dwelling. In a neighborhood of similar 1950’s ramblers and split-levels,
this would have been the first “McMansion” on the block. Instead, the
architect’s concept of modest additions and renovations resulted in a
complete transformation that was able to maintain compatibility in both
scale and style.
