The end result was a
house that had aged with its owners, one which better reflected their
current lifestyle. We vaulted the ceilings, reoriented the house to
focus on the pool and lake. We did that by creating a 600sf covered
porch with a new brick fireplace, outdoor kitchen and a Big Ass fan. The
outdoor space adjoins the octagon breakfast room, where now in addition
to breakfast, my client and her friends enjoy a weekly Bridge game (If
you look closely you can see them in the picture). All of this overlooks
the new pool, kitchen garden and patio.
