The existing house is a
bungalow. On the second floor were two small rooms: a bathroom with a
shower less than 6’ high and another room for storage. The two rooms
were combined to form a much larger bathroom to serve the three bedrooms
on that floor, and to capture as many functions and as much natural
light as possible. The budget for this project was under $30,000, so
finishes were kept on the low budget side. The furniture for the sinks
was found on Craigs List. it was repainted and the hardware was replaced
to match the look of the bathroom. The bathroom is a full light with
etched glass to light up the hallway. Additional storage space was found
by accessing the attic and a linen closet was placed in the hallway.
