Nor’easter hit and sat on the coast of southeastern Virginia, engulfing
the City Line Apartments in four feet of “black water”. The apartments
had to be 100% habitable in less than 7 weeks in order to qualify for an
annual $600,000 tax benefit. Due to the nature of the project and the
necessary deadline, the budget, scheduling, and logistics were
challenges needing resolution quickly and efficiently. In the end,
prioritizing the emergency services and reconstruction and remediation,
while successfully navigating through the challenges allowed First
Atlantic’s dedicated and highly trained team to meet the contracted
deadline in 47 days.
