basement remodel and addition added some incredible living and
entertainment space to this home. The remodel included a wine cellar and
tasting room, a second kitchen, a tiered theater, billiard/game room and
separate office spaces for the homeowner and the kids. A new bedroom,
walk-in closet and bathroom makes for a beautiful guest suite. A
built-up floor was included to raise the bar as well as giving the
living room a sunken feel. It also allowed the addition of tiered
seating int he home theater. A niche was added to display an heirloom
model boat and an antique shops porthole was incorporated in the door to
the office. A tasting room and wine cellar with stained glass accents is
located close to the bar, which is finished with granite countertops, a
copper tile ceiling and cherry cabinetry.
