2007 Residential Specialty
This is part of a large
addition to the original home. One of the major challenges was a huge
swale located directly adjacent to the existing residence that was
needed as a watershed for a large portion of the property. To connect
the addition to the original structure, they elected to build the living
room area as a bridge spanning completely over the natural swale. This
also fits with the owner’s future plans to landscape the swale as a
Japanese water garden complete with a manmade stream and waterfalls.
