This project was
completed to help a young man with cerebral palsy. Before, he had to be
carried from room to room, and now he has access to all floors,
including the basement and driveway. A seamless transition occurs in all
rooms, giving the illusion that this project had been there from the
very beginning of the home. On the exterior, all brick, windows, and
trim match the original. On the interior, one could hardly notice any
changes had ever occurred. The project includes an elevator, who’s
entrances have been integrated perfectly into several rooms. French
pocket doors allow access to the second floor and a new breezeway and
ramp allow access to the family’s custom van.
