The homeowners desired an enlarged contemporary styled
multi-functional kitchen space to bridge the gap between the
traditional and modern architectural styles of their home. By
combining the adjacent bedroom and removing some adjoining
walls, the new kitchen space more than doubled in size and
became open to the living spaces. The use of contemporary
eco-friendly materials, like renewable lyptus wood cabinetry and
quartz countertops made with recycled content, applied using
traditional design conventions created a kitchen space that not
only achieved the client’s aesthetic goals, but became a highly
efficient multipurpose hub for the home.
