Nor-Son, an integrated
consulting, design and construction services firm, expanded services to
the metro market renovating 4,500 square feet of existing tenant office
space above the iconic Sunset’s Restaurant (now CoV) in Wayzata, MN. The
Goal was to create a full functioning, modern and technologically
advanced office space to accommodate group collaboration yet maintain as
much of the existing structure as possible. Challenges included working
above a fully operational restaurant open seven days a week; limited
site mobility; extensive product lead-times and a technically
challenging design. The group office design economized space by
maintaining as much existing office space as possible to value-add
design and finishes to the stairwell entrance.
