The owners wanted two
additional bedrooms, two baths, an open kitchen and additional living
space. Since they could not add to the original footprint, they decided
to add a second story...with character. The second story included lots
of angles and character to expand this one story ranch from a 2-1 into a
3-3. This included a completely new expanded kitchen and extensive demo
of interior walls. A hallway with 7 doors became an open walkway to the
stairway and living room. To complete the plan, an exterior door was
added in the kitchen, giving both additional light and access to the
yard. Now the clients can cook and entertain without feeling shut off
from their guests.
