This 19th century home
required a total home design and remodeling. It suffered from
substantial structural problems and past remodeling efforts. The
redesign had to be done within the original footprint and respect the
historic character of the original home. Lighting design became
important since the owner’s restaurant management profession had varying
day and night waking hours. The total home results take time backward as
well as forward. Layers of mis-fitting remodeling were removed to
experience the home’s original flavor and the overlay of the new design
expresses the client’s lifestyle with improved space.
