These clients wanted to
turn their unfinished basement into multi-functional areas with an "old
world cellar" appeal. The wood and brick paver floor integrates well
with the reclaimed rough sewn ceiling beams in the lounge area and the
Beadboard ceilings in the hallway. Custom made doors and bookshelves add
to the old world ambiance. The new space satisfies all their desires as
a couple and as individuals. They now have dedicated spaces to store
their wine collection: he has a lounge to enjoy cigars and Cognac,
complete with an exhaust system to rid the lounge of unwanted smoke and
odor: and she has an area to exercise without distractions. A full bath
completes the renovation.
