This addition was
initiated to add a warm, inviting, comfortable interior space to the
home in place of a plain exterior wooden deck. A historical and fitting
look was necessary for this turn-of-the-century home in an historic
neighborhood. The interior of the conservatory boasts a sunny,
light-filled living space. Tall windows accent a v-groove ceiling with
ceiling fan and a green pickled floor. A coordinating exterior wooden
walkway and stairway lead to a stone patio below and a custom trellis.
The lower level storage area is accessible through a set of barn-style
doors and has a concrete-floored storage area with small windows to
allow light. The exterior is finished in cedar shake and stone work, and
a built in gardening station accents the patio side exterior of the
storage area to add a creative touch.
