This beautiful home featured grand styling, but the eat-in breakfast area off the kitchen was quite small, and the boxy family room adjacent to the kitchen area felt dark and cramped. The homeowners needed an enlarged family eating and sitting area that would allow for both elegant and casual entertaining. A new breakfast addition with an arched, columned entryway into the family room was designed. The new addition provides dramatic results with an eating area that is now more than adequate and provides efficient flow between the home’s center that includes the kitchen, dining area and family room.
