The
owners of this colonial-style home needed much in terms of refurbishing.
Worn materials needed replacing and trouble spots such as leaking flat
roofs created from bad past additions needed fixing. Reorganizing the
disorderly first floor layout into more livable spaces was also a major
undertaking. Their home needed little in terms of additional space. A
full bath on the first floor was all that was required. They loved their
neighborhood and their home’s exterior style. However, no such feelings
were demonstrated toward their interiors. Here, their clean and modern
tastes needed to be merged with their home’s traditional roots.
