Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA)
is a nonprofit law firm committed to protecting the legal rights of
Texans living in poverty. Hurricane Harvey flooded their 1960's era,
3-story building on August 25, 2017. Monday, August 28, an explosion
destroyed the office, forcing a complete renovation. Given its highly
visible location near the Greenstreet development, LSLA required the new
office to have a more welcoming street presence, additional
collaborative spaces, and offices providing both transparency and
privacy. LSLA hired AMB Architects to design a more efficient space and
include areas to better assist clients, in a setting respectful of their
needs.
