The purpose of this
addition was to create a room that would allow the clients to enjoy
their backyard and provide a space for relaxing. To make this family
room bright and inviting, many tall windows and doors, as well as a
large transom window, were used. Filling-in the existing window opening
with glass block allowed for some of the sunlight to pass through to the
existing part of the house, all while drawing your eye up. The result of
this project is a beautiful, light and inviting family room that fits-in
well with the existing house.
