A car fire in January,
2005 resulted in the complete destruction of this single-family
residence in Suwanee, Georgia. Using a design-build process, the home
was totally re-designed and constructed using the existing foundation.
The 1994 traditional design was updated to reflect the client’s desire
for a more contemporary and energy-efficient home. The construction
started in September of 2005 and substantially complete in September of
2006. The loss of a home and all of its contents is a very traumatic
experience. But from the ashes of their former home, this family has
endured and now enjoys the new home of their dreams.
