Historic Renovation
This project
transforms a neglected service barn into a refined, multi-functional
family wellness retreat through careful renovation and adaptive
reuse. The building is reimagined as a private gym and spa, with a
lounge, basement workshop and office, and integrated guest parking.
A comprehensive structural overhaul included reinforcement,
selective reframing, and the integration of modern mechanical
systems and high-performance insulation. Elegant finishes and custom
millwork balance contemporary comfort with traditional
craftsmanship. Original architectural elements were retained and
restored where possible, allowing the barn’s heritage character to
inform the design while complementing contemporary interventions
that accommodate modern living.
