Although this 1920
chateau-style house had plenty of charm and square footage, the
homeowner needed a more modern layout, better storage, and improved
space for frequent entertaining. Our major renovation plan included a
new formal entry with foyer, a new mudroom and side entry, custom
storage throughout, increased natural light and energy efficiency,
master suite upgrades, and restoration/repair of damaged structures.
Reconfiguration of the ground floor layout gave the home better flow, a
better connection to the garden, and placed a new kitchen catering to an
avid cook at the heart of the home.
