This historic Philadelphia
townhouse, listed on the city’s Historical Registry, offered a unique
chance to blend old-world charm with modern family living. Moving from a
small condo, the homeowners needed more space and functionality for
their three children. We re-imagined the layout, adding entertainment
areas and connecting the home to the carriage barn. Despite strict
preservation rules and structural hurdles, we introduced upgrades like a
new staircase, 10-person bar, and improved kitchen access to a private
patio. The second floor was fully renovated to include a primary suite
and children’s rooms, creating a restored, light-filled home with
timeless character.
