This space was reimagined to enhance the
users' feeling of belonging. The existing kitchen was dated and
disconnected to its surroundings. Through addressing concerns of natural
lighting, customized functionality, intentional integration and
encouragement of gathering, this new kitchen is a beacon of light in
this family home. A once dark and somewhat cold environment, it
transformed into a beautiful center point for gatherings with two
distinct yet connected zones shining as jewels within the mosaic. The
new breakfast nook and reading zone compliment one another and bring a
sense of inclusion to both spaces - unifying and inviting all.
