Built in the 1960's, the
original homeowners’ daughter wanted to address all needed repairs and
update the home while preserving and honoring the integrity of the
original design.
The main challenge of this project was in planning out and sequencing
the execution of the work while protecting details from the original
design. The most evident update was to the ceiling; an uninterrupted
surface passing through the original window pane from interior to
exterior. The home also needed to be updated and energy efficient while
maintaining the original construction. Communication with the homeowner
was key in the success of the project.
