This project included the removal of an old 7’ X 25’ single floor addition, and construction of a new 13’ X 25’ addition over the old addition’s footprint. The objectives include:
Expanding the cramped porch into a 4-season room.
Provide an entry area with closet space.
Expand the owner’s home office so it could function as an addition bedroom when needed.
Gain better water view from the sunroom and office.
Create a dramatic look that is consistent with a traditional neighborhood.
Make it green, without increasing the budget.
This addition grants its owners the beautiful, functional and dramatic space they hoped for and providing greater comfort in an exciting style. This is a well thought-out addition with a highly efficient, resource-sensitive and durable envelope, which will stand the test of time...and northeast coastal weather.
