For a car enthusiast lacking secure parking, this steep-sloped lot project began as a tandem garage but evolved into a hidden ADU below it, plus basement storage. The exterior was seamlessly matched to the home using cedar siding for a cohesive look. The vibrant mid-century modern ADU features forest green kitchen cabinets with quartz backsplash (inspired by Kendall Jenner), pops of orange, and honed terrazzo in the bathroom. Multiple decks support entertaining. Despite major foundation and grading challenges on the complex site, the project successfully delivered after over two years. |
