This project included restoration of the structure and personal contents as a result from a fire at this private residence. The majority of direct fire damage was on the second floor of the residence. The fire originated in the roof structure and several rafters had been completely burned through. Over 200 items of various types of media were removed and restored, such as signed posters, photographs, drawings, metal sculptures, wooden sculptures, paintings and a collection of custom furniture made specifically for the owner. By the time personal contents were removed and the rough scope of repairs we proceeded with demolition of materials that contained asbestos and lead. During the course of repairs a tarp was used, which withstood a snowfall of several feet. The overall comfort and efficiency was improved as a result of this project and the home was restored completely to its pre-fire state.
