This bathroom
demonstrates the effectiveness of responsive, thoughtful, innovative
design. The architect provided the empty-nest clients with a welcoming,
peaceful bathroom as a space to enjoy as they look forward to aging in
space.
The architect’s creative selection of materials and deliberate
application of them results in a distinctive, unified and practical
space, enriched by unusual finishes: oversized wall panels of thin
concrete; large ceramic ceiling tiles; white quartz countertop, deck and
seats; custom-designed cherry-veneer cabinets; and clean, contemporary
fixtures and accessories.
The clients love the room with its multiple seating areas, grab bars
enhancing the design, and curbless shower.
