This
home is a stately Craftsman from the early 1900’s. The objective was to
create a larger user friendly kitchen and bring back the Craftsman
Architectural detailing. The remodeled kitchen is only slightly larger
yet the functional layout is a great improvement. A peninsula cabinet
was added, which give the cook extra counter space and provides a place
for people to congregate without being in the way. Two appliance garages
keep accessories handy and the countertops uncluttered. The custom
stained glass in the cabinets and kitchen window were designed with the
Craftsman era in mind. Mahogany custom cabinets and woodwork blend
beautifully with other woodwork in the home. Honed limestone countertops
with brick tile backsplashes are also reminiscent of the era.
