Set on 175 acres in Loudoun County, the residence on this beautiful Virginia farm was in dire need of renovation. In addition to modernizing the existing space, the homeowners wished to expand the home to accommodate the large groups they regularly host for family, charity and business events. It was critical that the design incorporate abundant natural light and showcase the sweeping views of the countryside from every room.

Every area of the home was touched both the interior and exterior spaces. A new three-story addition includes the new living, dining and family rooms on the main level, a beautifully appointed master bedroom suite on the upper level and new media and game rooms on the lower level. Particular care was taken to make sure that the connections between the spaces allowed for ease of movement between rooms. Custom details are found throughout the home, including a sophisticated barrel vault ceiling which connects the kitchen and dining room to the family room and provides a visual link to the remodeled deck.
