The main goals of this
project were to give the homeowner an upscale home theater space that is
separated from the main living areas of the home and to minimize the
time and impact of the project on their home and life. The total time to
build out the space was ten weeks. The attack plan included fabricating
the entire theater proscenium off-site because of the time limits and
complexities of the curved stage. The audio-visual equipment was
selected for its superior performance and the ability to interact
smoothly with the lighting design. Elite HTS theater seats were chosen
for comfort, power controls and wall clearance requirements. The
lighting design compliments the contemporary theme of the theater. Once
the framing was completed, the remodeler, electrician and home theater
trade contractor walked the homeowner through the room to finalize the
location of the lights and lighting controls. In the end, the family is
very pleased with their new media-filled oasis.
