BELFOR Property
Restoration responded to an emergency service call due to a partial
ceiling collapse at the historic Hanford Fox Theatre. A load bearing
truss failed at a pilaster connection, dropping nearly eight inches, and
causing a 30’ X 20’ section of lath and plaster to crash down onto the
auditorium floor. BELFOR was able to stabilize the structure so that the
engineering firm could assess the damages and develop a repair plan.
Permits were issued in phases as other damages were repaired and code
upgrades were made. BELFOR Property Restoration successfully returned
the property to pre-loss conditions with improvements and code upgrades
while maintaining the historical appearace and character of the 87 year
old structure.
