This Kitchen is
transformed from dark, cramped and dated, to a bright, larger,
functional and contemporary space that beautifully reflects the client’s
needs and style. New life was restored to historic old-growth lumber
from a 19th century dismantled barn, and repurposed for custom spice
shelves and a pot rack. Black Walnut cabinetry, and petrified wood
backsplash tile unify the Kitchen seamlessly and are a chef’s delight.
Sustainability and environmental stewardship is multi-layered throughout
our daily experience and is best supported by intentionally designed
spaces and a confluence of materials and lifestyle. This kitchen strives
to balance both. It reduces the extraction of resources from the earth,
and minimizes the use of energy, while providing an exceptional
environment in which to cook and entertain.
