The existing 1950s home was
dark, compartmentalized, and failed to take advantage of the lake views. The
homeowners desired an open-floor plan that was both family friendly and
showcased the home’s incredible lake views. The homeowners desired a
contemporary style home that felt light and airy while still being warm and
inviting. The homeowners also desired finishes that were unique and custom
in appearance while being cost effective and easy to maintain.
Long gone is the cramped,
dark and dated 1950s home that failed to take advantage of the views. In its
place is a contemporary, open concept home that showcases the incredible
lake views while providing a warm and inviting environment for the family.
On the interior, the design incorporated a variety of textures, illumination
and utilized the natural surroundings to bring in added color to the
predominantly white interior finishes. The lower and upper exterior living
spaces further integrate the outdoors. The Nichiha siding provides a
contemporary feel while the pre-painted two-toned (mocha and sojii colored)
siding panels provide the low maintenance the homeowners desired.
