The result of a fire is
always a personal tragedy for any homeowner. Serving these clients meant
committing to their singular vision do whatever it takes to recreate the
home to the pre-fire status. Because of the home's age, they had to pay
close attention to all of the details, from the materials used, to the
re-design of the roof's structure. All materials were replicated while
correcting the design of the structure due to steep pitches that
resulted from years of settling and the previous contractor's faulty
work. Continuity was achieved by using different woods (cedar, fir, oak,
pine and walnut) with the same color tones while also offering the home
contrasting textures. This characteristic log house is once again an
exceptional and distinctive home that will be enjoyed for years to come.
