2010 Best Detached Outbuilding National Award Winner
The architecture of the new
garage is consistent with the language of the existing home. The main
roof of the new garage is a gable facing the street. One of the bays of
the garage was offset so that a smaller reverse gable could be
introduced to reduce the scale of the front facade. The offset also
enhanced the views from the main home. Features of the garage include
cottage style garage doors, a stone water table, hardi-plank siding and
a small covered roof over the side entry with bracket all consistent
with the existing home’s architecture.
