The
owners found their retirement home, a 1960’s style ranch house with a
serious need for updating. To meet the owners’ request for outdoor
connections, energy efficiency and practical design, the design-build
team gutted the house, reversed the floor plan, installed new windows,
lighting and fixtures. Because this is the last home they would ever own
they also added a guest suite, not only to welcome visitors, but
eventually to accommodate a live-in caretaker, should one become
necessary so that they could confidently age in place.
