We transformed this dull
existing courtyard into the lively outdoor living area the clients were
yearning for. We integrated artificial turf between the pavers to add
color and pattern, and faux living walls to offer year-round color
without maintenance. The contrast of the faux wood cladding warmed up
the industrial gray tones and brought attention to architectural
features, like the high windows, that went previously unnoticed. To help
break-up the artificial finishes, we introduced 3 organically textured
pots with low-water cacti. Lastly, we accessorized with string lighting,
throw pillows, blankets, tables, and additional faux foliage to complete
the indoor/outdoor look.
