The turn-of-the century kitchen and formal
dining room of this 1909 home did not serve the needs of a busy family.
The home sits above a beautiful river, but guests had to be in the
dining room in order to see that view. By eliminating the formal dining
room and making a larger kitchen and a versatile work space, everyone
who gathers at the home now has the opportunity to enjoy what was there
but unseen. The kitchen has all the amenities that a culinary maestro
could want, while serving the family with entertainment, a hang-out
spot, and storage galore.
