A young family in the
Chicago Suburbs deeply desired to improve the function, storage and
openness of their master bath. This bathroom presented many builder
design flaws that included no bathroom door, carpet throughout the
space, lack of lighting, and closed off areas for the shower and toilet,
and outdated finishes. Adding several can lights, eliminating both a
half wall in the shower and the walls enclosing the toilet helped open
up the bathroom. Updated finishes including brushed nickel fixtures, a
combination of wood and stone look tile, taller cabinetry with drawers,
and a glass mosaic create a beautiful space.
