After years of neglect
this 1938 house was transformed into the beautiful stately home it was
designed to become. It took over a year of design work before it was
finally time for construction. Challenges included poor soil conditions,
an extremely low crawl space, and working around the parts of the house
the owner wanted to save. To allow plumbing clearances, some 12" PVC
ductwork was installed underground to allow plumbing clearances.
Engineered footings were dug nearly 5’ deep and filled with gravel and
concrete to provide a solid foundation for the addition. Working with
the homeowners, they were able to achieve the goals by carefully
selecting materials and finishes to showcase this lovely home.
